Officials from Sound Music Cities have crafted this framework based on insights from over 1,100 survey responses and data from the Sacramento Music Census. The drafted framework includes innovative strategies, such as integrating Sound Impact Plans with permits and appointing a dedicated official to ensure consistency across city departments.
The proposed framework aims to enhance Sacramento’s current sound management protocols, which will include improved communication efforts, stricter enforcement of source-based sound measurements, and extended management of low-frequency sounds to alleviate bass complaints.
