Lovet Pet Health Care has officially opened its fourth clinic in West Michigan, located at 1935 Breton Road SE in Grand Rapids. This new facility adds to the rapid expansion of the Arizona-based veterinary network, which has quickly established itself in the region.
Since launching its first West Michigan hospital at 4290 Lake Michigan Drive NW in Standale in April, Lovet has catered to over 2,200 pets and welcomed approximately 1,900 new pet owners. The clinic’s growth continued with the openings of two additional locations at 3500 Alpine Ave NW in Walker and 2135 E Beltline Ave NE in Grand Rapids, both inaugurated in mid-October.
Community Focus and Patient Care
Courtney Gruber, President of Lovet Pet Health Care, noted the significant demand for veterinary services in the area, stating, “Grand Rapids has quickly become one of Lovet’s most vibrant and fast-growing markets.” This expansion aims to address the rising need for accessible veterinary care in the community.
According to Lovet’s 2025 Checkup Report, around 86% of pet owners nationally, and 87% in Michigan, reported that having a pet positively influences their mental and emotional well-being. However, the report also highlighted a concerning trend: 44% of Michigan pet owners admitted to delaying or skipping necessary veterinary care due to rising costs.
Lovet’s business model is designed to mitigate these financial barriers, offering various cost-saving solutions. As part of their commitment, all clients receive a complimentary first examination. Gruber emphasized the importance of making veterinary care more accessible, stating, “That deep connection is exactly why we’re continuing to expand here: to make high-quality, compassionate veterinary care easier to access for every pet-loving family in West Michigan.”
Job Opportunities and Community Engagement
The clinic’s expansion is also creating job opportunities, with Lovet actively hiring veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff across all four locations in West Michigan. This initiative is expected to generate approximately 50 local jobs, contributing positively to the region’s economy. In line with its community outreach efforts, Lovet recently partnered with the Humane Society of West Michigan as the pet first aid tent sponsor at the Humane Hustle 5K & Walk. This event encouraged pet owners to assemble their own first aid kits, promoting Lovet’s mission to enhance pet care education and preparedness within the community.
Originally known as AZPetVet, Lovet Pet Health Care began as a network of 23 animal hospitals in the Phoenix area and has since expanded its reach to include locations in Chicago and now Grand Rapids. With its focus on providing quality veterinary care and community engagement, Lovet aims to become a trusted partner for pet owners in the region.
