SpaceX is preparing to launch its 60th Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on December 4, 2025. This mission, designated as Starlink 15-10, aims to deploy an additional 27 broadband internet satellites, further expanding the company’s extensive low Earth orbit constellation. As of late November, SpaceX has successfully launched more than 2,800 satellites this year, underscoring its commitment to global internet coverage.
The launch is scheduled to take place at 21:28 PST (12:28 a.m. EST / 05:28 UTC) from Space Launch Complex 4 East. Coverage of the event will start approximately 30 minutes before liftoff, providing real-time updates for space enthusiasts and stakeholders alike.
Details of the Launch Mission
The Falcon 9 rocket will utilize the first stage booster designated as B1081, marking its 20th flight. This booster has previously supported significant missions, including NASA’s Crew-7 and CRS-29, as well as the PACE and TRACERS missions. The reuse of boosters reflects SpaceX’s strategy to enhance cost efficiency in space travel.
Following liftoff, B1081 will aim for a landing on the drone ship, ‘Of Course I Still Love You,’ approximately 8.5 minutes after launch. If successful, this landing will represent the 166th successful recovery on this particular vessel and the 542nd overall booster landing for SpaceX.
As the aerospace industry continues to evolve, SpaceX’s ambitious plans to expand its Starlink constellation are pivotal to enhancing global internet accessibility, demonstrating the company’s role at the forefront of satellite technology and innovation.
With each successful launch, SpaceX not only solidifies its position in the commercial space sector but also opens new avenues for connectivity across diverse regions of the globe.
