Urgent Update: Two Dead in San Jose Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 87

UPDATE: A devastating multi-vehicle crash on Highway 87 in San Jose has left two people dead, including a child, as confirmed by officials shortly after the incident yesterday morning. The collision, which involved two Teslas, a Lexus, and another vehicle that fled the scene, occurred around 10:50 a.m. near Curtner Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that an adult and a child succumbed to their injuries at the site, with at least two additional individuals rushed to local hospitals. Their current condition remains undisclosed, raising concerns about their well-being.

As a result of the collision, the northbound lanes of Highway 87 were blocked for several hours, creating significant traffic delays that extended back to Capitol Expressway. The road was finally cleared and reopened by 3:45 p.m., restoring normal traffic flow.
