Teachers Health Trust Launches Mobile Health Services for Educators

The Teachers Health Trust (THT) is set to offer free primary care services and mammograms at a series of mobile health care events next week. This initiative provides vital health services to educators in Clark County, Nevada, and aims to enhance access to medical care for THT members.

Following the success of the initial event at Laughlin High School, which took place last month, THT has scheduled three additional mobile health care events. These services will be available on the following dates and locations:

December 16, 2023Sunrise Mountain High School from 12:00 to 19:00
December 17, 2023Centennial High School from 12:00 to 19:00
December 18, 2023Liberty High School from 12:00 to 19:00

Participants will have the opportunity to receive annual wellness exams, mammograms, basic lab tests, and immunizations, all at no cost. Teachers wishing to attend these events can secure an appointment by visiting the THT website.

Tom Zumtobel, CEO of the Teachers Health Trust, emphasized the significance of these services, stating, “Wellness exams and mammograms are critically important diagnostic tools to aid in early detection of health concerns, such as high blood pressure and breast cancer.” He expressed pride in bringing these mobile health services directly to educators, especially in areas where access to care is limited.

The Teachers Health Trust was established in October 1983, through a collaboration between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association. It serves as a self-funded, nonprofit health insurance plan for educators and their dependents in Clark County. The trust aims to provide comprehensive health care solutions tailored to the needs of educators, ensuring they have the support and resources necessary for their well-being.
