JetBlue Launches First BlueHouse Lounge at JFK on December 18

UPDATE: JetBlue Airways is set to elevate the travel experience with the grand opening of its first BlueHouse airport lounge at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on December 18, 2025. This significant development marks a pivotal moment in JetBlue’s journey toward becoming a premium airline, distinguishing itself from competitors such as Frontier, Spirit, and Southwest.

The BlueHouse lounge, covering a spacious 9,000 square feet and spanning two stories, is designed to offer an inviting and stylish atmosphere that embodies the essence of New York. “BlueHouse has been years in the making, and it reflects the work of more than a hundred contributors who helped bring the space to life,” said Marty St. George, JetBlue’s president, in a statement to Newsweek. He emphasized that this lounge is a crucial milestone in the airline’s JetForward strategy, aimed at delivering premium, customer-first experiences.

Guests will be treated to an array of amenities, including access to Wi-Fi, power outlets, and a game room featuring JetBlue-branded cards, chess, checkers, and children’s toys. The lounge will serve a selection of beverages from Joe Coffee and Please Don’t Tell, alongside fresh bites by Union Square Events. Menu highlights include classic New York favorites like bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches and pastrami on rye.

The lounge will primarily serve Mosaic members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and transatlantic Mint customers. Eligible flyers can bring guests into the space based on their membership status, with specific entry costs attached. This exclusive access is set to enhance the travel experience for JetBlue’s most loyal customers.

In addition to the upcoming lounge at JFK, JetBlue is making strides in upgrading the overall travel experience. Terminal 5 at JFK will see enhancements with the addition of 40 new retailers and amenities, while upgraded domestic first-class cabins are scheduled to roll out in 2026.

The opening of BlueHouse at JFK is just the beginning, as JetBlue plans to launch another location at Boston Logan International Airport in 2026. This ambitious expansion underscores JetBlue’s commitment to providing a premium travel experience that resonates with the modern traveler.

As this story develops, travelers and aviation enthusiasts alike are eager to see how JetBlue continues to innovate in the airline industry. Stay tuned for more updates as the opening date approaches!
