Sabrina Carpenter Joins Miss Piggy in New Muppet Show Teaser

The beloved characters of The Muppet Show are set to return, with a new teaser featuring pop star Sabrina Carpenter alongside the iconic Miss Piggy. The special is scheduled to premiere on February 4, 2024, on both Disney+ and ABC, coinciding with the show’s 50th anniversary.

In the teaser, Carpenter delivers a heartfelt compliment to Miss Piggy, stating, “You are an icon,” to which Miss Piggy responds with playful humility, saying, “You’re too sweet — go on.” The two are later seen wearing matching outfits, hinting at a fun and engaging dynamic between them. The teaser showcases the Muppets returning to their original theatre, promising new music and behind-the-scenes antics.

Seth Rogen, the executive producer of the show, also makes a brief appearance in the teaser. He shares a moment with Fozzie Bear, who humorously questions Rogen’s aspirations, suggesting he should aim for higher goals. The stakes are high for the production team, as Kermit the Frog, voiced by Matt Vogel, announces, “It’s the return of the Muppet show… back on the very stage where it all started.”

This new chapter for The Muppet Show comes after Disney first announced plans for its revival in September 2025. The upcoming special follows previous series such as The Muppets Mayhem and Muppets Now, featuring guest appearances from stars like Lil Nas X, Kesha, RuPaul, and Aubrey Plaza. The last standalone special, Muppets Haunted Mansion, was released in 2021.

Returning cast members include Dave Goelz, who voices Gonzo the Great, along with Bill Barretta, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, and David Rudman. With the nostalgic return of the Muppets, fans can expect a unique blend of humor, music, and cherished characters that have delighted audiences for decades.

As the launch date approaches, excitement builds for what promises to be a significant moment in entertainment history, bringing together new and longtime fans of The Muppet Show.
