URGENT UPDATE: A pedestrian tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Longmont’s Main Street on Thursday evening. The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of Main Street, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
According to Longmont police spokesperson Rogelio Mares, a man driving south in the outside lane collided with the pedestrian, who was crossing from east to west. Officers arrived on the scene “within seconds” and provided immediate medical aid to the victim. Despite their efforts, the man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
