UPDATE: In a fierce competition for music industry dominance, BTS has surged to the top of the Singer Brand Reputation Index with a score of 7,409,314, just announced by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute. This marks an impressive 8.81% increase from their previous index of 6,809,220 in December 2023.
The index measures factors such as participation value, communication value, media value, and community value, offering insights into how consumers engage with their favorite artists. The metrics reveal that BTS recorded a staggering participation index of 261,097, a media index of 927,857, a communication index of 2,545,645, and a community index of 3,674,716.
Trailing closely, BLACKPINK has also seen remarkable growth, ranking second with a brand reputation index of 6,213,487. This represents a remarkable 76.65% increase from their December index of 3,517,427. BLACKPINK’s engagement levels include a participation index of 148,866, media index of 545,540, communication index of 2,325,330, and community index of 3,193,750.
In third place, Lim Young Woong recorded a brand reputation index of 5,231,902, reflecting a 13.60% decrease compared to his previous index of 6,055,100. His participation index stands at 881,305, with media, communication, and community indices at 1,528,397, 1,620,725, and 1,201,475 respectively.
Gu Chang Hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, commented on the rankings, stating, “The BTS brand, which announced a full-group comeback with a world tour, ranked first, while the BLACKPINK brand, which left a strong impression with their pink-themed world tour, secured second place.”
