Born on September 8, 1958, Theresa was the only child of Mary Evelyn Boyd Brent and Donald Early Brent.
Theresa graduated from Adams County Christian School in 1975. Two years later, she married her high school sweetheart, Roy Augustus Jones, with whom she shared a life filled with love and three daughters. Known for her remarkable artistic abilities, Theresa was the owner of Tortoiseshell, a frame and gift shop in downtown Natchez that became a cherished destination for locals. Her vibrant personality and generous spirit made her a radiant presence at gatherings, where she was often the center of warmth and creativity.
Artistic Legacy and Family Values
Theresa’s passion for the arts, particularly in watercolors and custom-painted mats, resonated deeply with her loyal customers. Her creations were not just products; they reflected her artistic vision and commitment to quality. Beyond her shop, Theresa cherished her family, especially during the annual Boyd/Brent family reunion held every May in Pike County, Mississippi.
