Junior Leighton Garner recorded a double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds, demonstrating his valuable presence on the court. The Mustangs will face Wixom St. Catherine in the Catholic League championship on Saturday evening at 20:00 local time at Madonna University.
Several other teams also showcased their talents in recent matchups. In a closely contested game, Grosse Pointe North managed to secure a 46-44 victory over Port Huron, thanks in large part to Eva Borowski, who scored 30 points. The Norsemen improved their overall record to 9-9 with this win.
Fraser extended its winning streak to 15 games with a decisive 58-42 victory against Utica. Senior forward Brynn Norbeck led the Ramblers with 17 points, solidifying their position atop the MAC Blue Division.
Marysville also recorded a strong performance, defeating St. Clair Shores South Lake 53-34. Kendal Quain led all scorers with 26 points, helping the Vikings maintain their second-place standing in the MAC Blue Division.
