Urgent: Serial Slasher Strikes Again in Brooklyn Subway Attacks

UPDATE: A serial slasher is on the loose in Brooklyn after carrying out three unprovoked attacks in less than 24 hours, police sources confirmed Sunday. The suspect is being sought after slashing a stranger’s face on a subway train, sparking urgent concerns among local commuters.

The first incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on October 21, 2023, when a 37-year-old man was attacked on a Manhattan-bound Q train in Flatbush. The victim was cut on the left side of his face as the train approached the Church Ave. station. After the horrifying assault, he managed to exit the train and alert authorities, while the assailant remained on board, according to police reports.

Just hours later, at around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, the slasher struck again, this time targeting a 53-year-old man near Foster and New York Avenues, a mile and a half from the earlier attack. The suspect reportedly approached from behind, using a blade to slash the left side of his victim’s face.

The violence continued into Sunday morning when, at approximately 6:55 a.m., a 56-year-old man became the third victim in a similar attack near Newkirk Ave. and New York Avenues, just a block away from the previous incident. All three victims were transported to Kings County Hospital and are currently in stable condition.

The NYPD has intensified their search efforts across several blocks in Flatbush and released a surveillance image of the suspect, who is described as wearing a navy blue jacket, black shorts, and white sneakers. Authorities are calling on the public for assistance in identifying the serial attacker.

These alarming assaults come shortly after another subway stabbing on October 16, 2023, involving a homeless man who knifed a victim during an argument on a D train. The attacker, identified as Justice Jackson, was arrested and charged with assault.

Anyone with information regarding this serial slasher is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential. As the investigation continues, the community remains on high alert, and officials stress the importance of reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
