Austin Police Urgently Seek Leads in Fatal Hit-and-Run

UPDATE: The Austin Police Department is urgently seeking information on a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a pedestrian on October 21, 2023. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on West Parmer Lane, near the intersection of Interstate 35 and Center Lake Drive.

Authorities report that at least two vehicles were involved in the crash, with one driver striking the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The police are focusing on a vehicle described as either an SUV or a crossover, which may have sustained damage to the lower front left side and could have blood on the left front tire.

The suspect vehicle was reportedly last seen heading eastbound in the 800 block of West Parmer Lane. This tragic incident highlights the urgent need for public assistance to bring the responsible party to justice.
