BREAKING NEWS: The Duluth community mourns the passing of Carleen J. Ronchetti, aged 74, who peacefully departed on October 3, 2025. Known for her dedication to nursing and education, Carleen’s impact on both her profession and her family remains profound.
Born in Duluth on August 1, 1951, Carleen graduated from Virginia High School in 1969 before pursuing her nursing degree at Gustavus Adolphus College, graduating in 1973. She later earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota in 1986. Carleen’s commitment to healthcare extended beyond her career; she was a passionate educator who instilled the importance of good bedside manners in her nursing students.
Carleen married Michael Ronchetti in Virginia, MN, in 1974. Together, they built a loving family. Carleen is survived by her children, Brent and Kristin Ronchetti, and her grandchildren, Jesse Thompson Jr. and Julia Boulley. She is also survived by her siblings Kim (Leslie) Erickson and Kent (Renae) Erickson, along with seven nieces and seven nephews.
Carleen was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. In addition to her musical talents, she had a passion for crocheting and traveling, enriching the lives of those around her.
Visitation services are scheduled for Friday, November 7, 2025, from 11 AM to Noon at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 1325 North 45th Ave. E., Duluth, MN. A memorial service will follow, with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. The Duluth Honor Guard will provide military honors in recognition of Carleen’s contributions to her community and country.
