Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Arrives Tomorrow in NYC!

UPDATE: The iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is arriving in Manhattan tomorrow, bringing festive cheer to the heart of New York City. This 75-foot-tall, 11-ton Norway Spruce is making its way from East Greenbush, New York, to 30 Rockefeller Plaza, where it will be officially placed.

The tree, which is over 75 years old, will be transported on a flatbed truck approximately 130 miles into Manhattan. Excitement builds as the festive season approaches, with a family-friendly “Meet the Tree” event scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. The event, featuring Peanuts-themed activities in celebration of “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” is free but requires advance registration.

Once secured in its iconic stand, the tree will be adorned with more than 50,000 multi-colored LEDs strung along 5 miles of wire. Judy Russ, whose family is generously donating the tree, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “

I’m excited to make more cherished memories with my family and childhood friends as it becomes the world’s Christmas tree.

The crowning glory of this year’s tree will be a stunning 9-foot, 900-pound Swarovski star embellished with 3 million crystals, set to shine brightly during the official lighting ceremony on December 3 at 7 p.m. ET. This highly anticipated event will be broadcast live on NBC, Peacock, and all streaming platforms for NBC 4 New York.

For the first time, guests with a Holiday Top of the Rock ticket will gain access to a special viewing area of the tree while visiting the observation deck from December 4 to January 10. This unique opportunity allows visitors to experience the holiday magic like never before.

The festivities surrounding the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will continue until mid-January 2026, when the tree is scheduled to be taken down. In a commitment to sustainability, the tree will be milled into lumber to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of providing affordable housing.

Stay tuned for more updates as the tree’s arrival unfolds! This year’s celebration promises to be unforgettable, bringing joy to countless visitors and locals alike.
