UPDATE: A woman is hospitalized after being struck by an 18-wheeler early Saturday morning in Raleigh, N.C. The incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. at the 3700 block of Capital Boulevard, in front of a Circle K convenience store.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, the woman was conscious and alert when officers arrived on the scene. She was able to communicate with responders before being transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The truck driver remained at the scene, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine any potential fault in the incident.
