Local Families Celebrate Community Spirit at Holiday Bazaar

The Holly Jolly Holiday Bazaar at Fallston United Methodist Church drew families and community members on December 2, 2023, offering a festive atmosphere filled with crafts, holiday cheer, and charitable initiatives. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including visits with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, while browsing vendor tables laden with handmade items.

Among the participants were Lilianna Fromille, age 9, and her 5-year-old sister, Sabrina, who took delight in meeting the holiday figures. The event was not only an opportunity for holiday shopping but also a gathering place for families to engage in creative activities.

Children actively participated in decorating their own gingerbread houses. Eli Knopp, 7, and his 5-year-old sister, Becca, from Fallston, were particularly enthusiastic, showcasing their artistic skills as they decorated with colorful icing and candy. Their laughter and creativity added to the lively atmosphere of the bazaar.

Vendors displayed a range of crafts, including unique decorations made from shells and holiday-themed items. One notable booth featured the Hafner family from Bel Air, consisting of Dominick (14), Henrik (8), and their mother, Jessica. The boys sold crafts made from melted crayons, with all proceeds benefitting the Cool Kids Campaign, an organization supporting children with cancer. Dominick expressed his gratitude towards the foundation, which has played a significant role in his own cancer treatment journey.

The event served as a reminder of the importance of community support and the spirit of giving during the holiday season. Attendees left with not only unique gifts but also a sense of togetherness, reflecting the values that the Fallston United Methodist Church aims to promote.

Overall, the Holly Jolly Holiday Bazaar successfully fostered a sense of community while providing a platform for local families to contribute to meaningful causes. As families left with smiles and handmade treasures, the spirit of the holidays was palpable throughout the church hall.
