Multiple Food Establishments Face Compliance Issues in Inspections

Food establishments across the region underwent inspections in early January 2026, revealing several compliance issues related to food safety practices. Notable establishments including Houlihan’s, Full Circle Diner & Cocktails, and Fat Shack were found lacking in key health standards during routine checks.

Inspection Findings and Compliance Issues

On January 2, 2026, Houlihan’s, located at 1641 Anderson Ave, received a follow-up inspection. The establishment was noted for improper date marking and disposition of food items, specifically unmarked products. Fortunately, these violations were corrected on-site.

The same day, Full Circle Diner & Cocktails at 1112 Moro faced multiple compliance failures during a routine inspection. Issues included improper handwashing practices while handling clean dishes, unclean food-contact surfaces, and items held at improper cold temperatures. Additionally, the diner failed to provide consumer advisories for raw or undercooked foods, and there were concerns regarding unlabeled toxic substances. All noted issues were addressed immediately during the inspection.

Another establishment inspected on the same day was Fat Shack, situated at 1131 Moro St. It had similar violations, including the presence of dried food debris on cleaning tools and the absence of date markings on food items. The inspection also revealed unlabeled toxic substances and damaged equipment, which were remedied on-site.

Further Inspections Reveal Ongoing Concerns

On January 6, 2026, Radina’s Coffee at Stormont Vail, located at 1325 Research Park Dr, was inspected following a complaint. The establishment repeated a violation related to unmarked items, which was corrected during the visit. Additionally, the lack of test strips in the warewashing facilities was noted.

The following day, two establishments—Pizza Hut at 3268 Kimball Ave and Leap Manhattan at 3011 Anderson Ave—were also inspected due to modified complaints. Both locations were found to be compliant with health standards, recording no violations during the inspections.

These inspections highlight the importance of maintaining rigorous food safety standards in the food service industry. Compliance not only ensures the health and safety of patrons but also upholds the reputation of the establishments involved.
