Victoria Drive-Thru Coffee Shop Transitions to Frontier Rodeo Brand

A drive-thru coffee shop in Victoria, Texas, is set to relaunch under new ownership and branding, marking a significant shift for the local community. Originally known as Kahve Coffee, the establishment announced on January 16, 2024, that it would temporarily close. It has now revealed plans to reopen as the latest location of Frontier Rodeo Coffee, owned by Jerry Nelson, with the grand reopening scheduled for late March 2024.

Allie Thomas, the general manager of Frontier Rodeo Coffee, indicated that the expansion into Victoria was not originally part of the company’s strategy. However, an unexpected connection with Kahve’s owner provided a pathway for this opportunity. Thomas was in search of a technician to service espresso machines at her existing locations when she was referred to the owner of Kahve Coffee. After assisting with equipment repairs, he expressed his desire to exit the coffee business, leading to a seamless transition.

The current staff from Kahve will remain in their positions, as Thomas emphasized their established rapport with the community as a crucial factor in the decision to retain them. Baristas have begun training at the company’s Hallettsville location to familiarize themselves with the new menu and operational systems.

Renovations and New Offerings

Renovations are set to begin on February 5, 2024. The Victoria location will become the fourth Frontier Rodeo Coffee shop, joining existing locations in Columbus, Lumberton, and Hallettsville. Thomas expressed enthusiasm about the Victoria expansion, citing the success seen in Hallettsville as a motivating factor.

“We’ve seen really good success in Hallettsville with that, and we’re excited to bring that to Victoria,” Thomas said. The new establishment will feature a walk-up window and an outdoor patio equipped with fans and heaters for year-round comfort, enhancing customer experience.

All coffee served at Frontier Rodeo is sourced from South America, with a unique blend crafted specifically for the brand. The company also prides itself on producing nearly all of its syrups and flavorings in-house or sourcing them from reputable retailers. Customers can look forward to an array of breakfast and lunch options, all made fresh daily.

Community Focus and Competitive Edge

“We aim to introduce something new and fresh to Victoria,” Thomas noted. She acknowledged the competitive coffee landscape in the area but highlighted that Frontier Rodeo Coffee maintains a personal touch as a family-run business. “Everything that we do is made with love. We want our customers to feel welcome and have an experience that makes them want to return,” she added.

The arrival of Frontier Rodeo Coffee coincides with the announcement from Ellianos, a national coffee chain based in Florida, that it will also open a drive-thru location in Victoria later this year. As the local coffee scene evolves, Thomas hopes that the community will embrace the changes and support the new venture.

With renovations underway and training in progress, the team at Frontier Rodeo Coffee is eager to welcome customers to their new location. The commitment to quality and community connection remains at the heart of the brand as it prepares for its grand reopening.
