In October 2019, Bray and his wife moved to Kilgore, Texas, where he continued to inspire others through his generous spirit. Friends and family describe him as a gentle and selfless man, always ready to assist those in need. His love for his children and grandchildren was a cornerstone of his life.

Bray was not only passionate about music; he also enjoyed riding his Harley and attending car and truck shows during his free time. He is survived by his wife, Sallie, his children Sandi and Josh (Tiffany), two grandchildren, Layla and Clay, his sister Cathy (Scott) Muir, his Aunt Sue, and a wide circle of family and friends who cherished him.
