Joanna Krupa Launches Pet Adoption Series Street Rescue on YouTube

Model and actress Joanna Krupa is set to launch her new YouTube series, titled Street Rescue, which focuses on pet adoption and aims to assist families in need. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on October 15, 2023, Krupa shared details about the series, which will begin releasing episodes weekly on October 24, 2023, at 16:00 PST. This initiative follows her efforts in founding the nonprofit organization Angels for Animals Rescue alongside her sister, Marta Krupa, and friend Gabi Gutierrez.

Krupa explained the challenges many face in caring for pets, particularly in Los Angeles, California, where veterinary costs can be prohibitively high. “Living in Los Angeles, the vetting costs are through the roof,” she remarked. She highlighted the financial strain that low-income families experience when their pets require medical care, stating, “That’s why thousands of animals are in the shelters, because a lot of the family members can’t afford their care once they find out they’re sick.”

The series is fully funded by Krupa herself and her team, emphasizing their commitment to not only the animals but also the people who love them. The initiative aims to provide support to low-income families and homeless individuals struggling to care for their pets. “We’re trying to build a community of all the different animal rescuers in California or nationwide that can come together and help,” she explained.

Empowering Families and Promoting Adoption

In her efforts to aid these families, Krupa is partnering with various low-income and volunteer veterinary services. She aims to raise awareness about adoptable animals, as many face the risk of euthanasia in shelters. “With this type of show, I feel we can save so many lives by promoting adoption and giving back,” she added.

Krupa’s passion for animal welfare is matched by her commitment to her family. She is a devoted mother to her nearly six-year-old daughter, Asha-Leigh, whom she shares with ex-husband Douglas Nunes. Reflecting on her role as a single mother, Krupa described Asha-Leigh as “like a sponge” who absorbs everything around her. “The most important thing for me is how much she loves our animals,” she noted, emphasizing her daughter’s compassionate nature.

Despite her busy schedule, which includes hosting the Polish version of America’s Next Top Model for 14 seasons, Krupa is determined to balance her professional and personal life. “I try my best to be the best mom ever,” she said, expressing her desire for Asha-Leigh to have a sibling, a bond she values from her own childhood.

Future Projects and Personal Reflections

As Krupa prepares for her return to the U.S. market with Street Rescue, she reflects on her growth as a person since she first entered the entertainment industry over two decades ago. “If I do something back in the U.S., it has to be something that gives back, is heartfelt, something that my daughter is going to be proud of,” she stated.

While Krupa remains focused on her family and professional endeavors, she is also open to the possibility of dating. She expressed that any potential relationship would need to bring positivity into her life, stating, “I don’t want any drama in my life. I don’t want any headaches in my life.”

Looking ahead, Krupa hinted at upcoming projects related to her personal brand and product line, indicating her intent to leverage her experience in the entertainment industry. “I decided that it’s time to take advantage of what I built over the years and do a product line where everyone will be able to afford it, but the quality will be as it would be an expensive item,” she shared.

As Joanna Krupa embarks on this new journey with Street Rescue, her dedication to animal welfare and family remains at the forefront of her mission.
