Melanie Spector has officially joined Encompass Arts as part of their management team. With an impressive background as a soprano and a wealth of accolades, Spector is poised to bring her expertise to the organization.
Spector is a three-time District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition and has a notable history with prestigious programs such as the Aspen Music Festival as a Fleming Artist and the Detroit Opera Resident Artist Program. Her vocal talent has earned her numerous awards, including recognitions from the Gerda Lissner Foundation, the SAS Performing Arts Company, and the National Society of Arts and Letters. She has also triumphed in competitions like the Camille Coloratura Awards and the Tuesday Musicale of Detroit.
Throughout her career, Spector has been a strong contender in several significant competitions. She has reached the finals in the Lewisville Lake Symphony, Rochester International, and Dorothy Lincoln-Smith Vocal Competitions. Additionally, she has been recognized as a Semi-Finalist in the Loren L. Zachary, Annapolis Opera, and James Toland Vocal Arts Competitions.
In terms of performance experience, Spector has collaborated with renowned organizations, including the Detroit Opera, Eugene Opera, Stuttgart Philharmonic, Savannah VOICE Festival, Opera Tampa, Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings, and Midland Symphony Orchestra. Her versatility extends beyond the stage; she is also recognized as a regular panelist on the Metropolitan Opera Quiz during Saturday matinees.
In addition to her singing career, Spector serves as a Social Media Manager for Lenny’s Studio, where she oversees the channels for several prominent figures in the opera industry. Her multifaceted experience in performance and management equips her to contribute significantly to Encompass Arts.
