World Without Exploitation, an anti-trafficking organization, has launched a campaign in Northern Kentucky, displaying multiple billboards requesting the release of files related to the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. This initiative coincides with a national effort to unseal documents from the U.S. Department of Justice, which detail Epstein’s criminal activities, and the upcoming vote on a discharge petition introduced by Congressman Thomas Massie.
The billboards feature a striking message: “Courage is Contagious. Release ALL the Epstein Files.” One of the billboards can be seen near exit 4 off I-471, directing traffic towards Bellevue and Newport. According to World Without Exploitation, additional billboards have been installed throughout Massie’s district, which encompasses Boone, Kenton, and Campbell Counties.
In a statement, Lauren Hersh, the national director of World Without Exploitation, emphasized the importance of transparency. “We’re calling on our members of Congress to please show the leadership, humanity, and courage the American people deserve,” she stated. Hersh highlighted that the focus should not solely be on notorious figures like Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, but rather on the survivors who seek justice and access to information that has long affected their lives.
Survivor and policy expert Liz Stein, who has been directly impacted by Epstein’s crimes, echoed this sentiment. “This is not a political issue but rather a crime,” she asserted. Stein underscored the need for accountability and transparency, urging elected officials to support the survivors’ call for the full release of the Epstein files.
The push for transparency is gaining momentum, with activists hoping elected leaders will unite across party lines to support the survivors’ demands. As the conversation around Epstein’s files intensifies, the billboards serve as a visible reminder of the ongoing struggle for justice and accountability in cases of human trafficking.
This campaign reflects a broader commitment to addressing the systemic issues surrounding trafficking and advocating for the rights of survivors. By raising awareness and calling for action, organizations like World Without Exploitation aim to ensure that the voices of those affected are not silenced.
As the vote on Congressman Massie’s discharge petition approaches, the outcome could significantly influence the direction of this ongoing advocacy and the quest for justice for survivors of trafficking.
