A private detective’s investigation at the Hollywood rental home of singer D4vd has revealed a controversial item described as a “burn cage.” The discovery, made by detective Steve Fischer, is raising questions amid an ongoing investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas, a teenager whose remains were found in a vehicle belonging to D4vd earlier this year.
Fischer detailed his findings in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on March 21, 2023. He stated that the burn cage is designed to operate at temperatures reaching 1,600 degrees Fahrenheit, surpassing the typical temperature for human cremations, which is around 1,400 degrees. According to Fischer, the cage was still new and in its original packaging, indicating it had not been used.
He remarked, “Although my words have been misquoted by some, what I actually said about certain items found at the Doheny address was that they were ‘items you would expect to find on a farm rather than in a home in the Hollywood Hills.'” Fischer emphasized the unusual nature of the item being found in a residential setting, questioning its intended purpose.
Many have speculated whether the burn cage was meant as a prop for a video production. Fischer challenged this notion, asking why a 55-pound incinerator would be sent to a private residence instead of directly to a production house or prop designer. He raised further questions about its timing, noting that it arrived before D4vd’s world tour and had not been utilized in any filmed content.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Rivas’ death. While D4vd was on tour when the discovery was made, he has since canceled the remainder of his tour dates. Captain Scot Williams of the Los Angeles Police has clarified that Rivas’ body was not decapitated, countering circulating rumors.
To date, no arrests have been made in the case, and D4vd faces no criminal charges related to the incident.
As the investigation continues, the implications of the burn cage’s discovery add a layer of complexity to an already troubling situation. The police have yet to comment on Fischer’s findings, leaving the public and media eager for further details.
