Raquel Lorraine Rothweiler, a respected figure in the aerospace industry, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 84. Although she had encountered health challenges in her later years, her sudden death has left her family and friends deeply heartbroken.
Born in New Mexico in 1941, Raquel was known for her hard-working spirit and genuine kindness. Throughout her life, she was characterized by her caring nature, always willing to lend a hand to those around her. Her warmth and compassion touched many lives, and she provided steady support to anyone in need.
A Legacy of Love and Professionalism
Family was Raquel’s greatest joy. She dedicated herself to her loved ones, pouring her affection into every moment. Raquel took immense pride in her career, particularly her role in the aerospace sector. She worked for Northrop, where she was entrusted with managing classified documentation for the B-2 Stealth Bomber program. Her dedication and professionalism became a source of inspiration to her colleagues and those who knew her.
Raquel is survived by her devoted son, George A. Rothweiler, daughter-in-law Thayra Rothweiler, and her beloved grandchildren, Alek and Avery. They, along with many others, will carry her memory in their hearts. Her presence brought comfort, and her love provided strength. She will be remembered for her simple yet heartfelt way of concluding conversations with her favorite saying, “good talk.”
Honoring Raquel’s Memory
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to three organizations that were particularly meaningful to Raquel: the Southwest Indian Foundation, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, and Father Flanagan’s Boys Town. These contributions will honor her legacy of kindness and generosity.
A viewing is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00 at Loma Vista Mortuary, located at 702 East Bastanchury Road, Fullerton, CA 92835. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Raquel’s remarkable life and the impact she had on so many.
