Cabazon Dinosaurs Celebrate Love with Floral Makeover for Valentine’s Day

As Valentine’s Day approaches, the Cabazon Dinosaurs have donned a vibrant floral makeover, greeting visitors along the 10 Freeway. The iconic roadside attraction, known for its giant dinosaur sculptures, features a colorful display with messages of love, including a notable one from Mr. Rex, who proclaims, “Let Love Bloom.”

The transformation is part of a seasonal tradition that delights both young and old. On February 6, 2026, visitors Caryn and Billy Smith from Phoenix expressed their enthusiasm during their first visit. “I think it’s really neat that they paint them,” Caryn remarked, as they explored the park.

Annual Tradition Draws Families

Families frequent the Cabazon Dinosaurs as part of their annual trips. The Pagano family, including parents Jason and Erin and their daughters Presley, 8, Navy, 5, and Delaney, 2, stop by every year on their way to Rancho Mirage for a Super Bowl weekend golf tournament. “This is a favorite spot,” Erin said, recalling fond memories of their visits.

Their daughters engage in lively conversations as they recount past adventures. “One time it was very, very windy and my hat flew off in the air,” Erin reminisced, illustrating the joyful spirit of their family outings. Jason, who visited the site as a child, finds it meaningful to bring his own daughters to experience the same wonder. “The girls love to see it, and we love to see it painted with all the flowers,” he added.

A Rich History of Seasonal Transformations

The Cabazon Dinosaurs, comprising over 100 colorful sculptures, have a long history of seasonal decorations. Throughout the years, they have been adorned as pumpkins, Santa Claus, superheroes, and even honored the late Paul Reubens with a tribute to his beloved character, Pee-wee Herman.

The park, located at 50770 Seminole Drive, operates daily from 9:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, and from 9:00 to 19:00 on weekends. Admission fees are set at $15 for ages 13-55, $13 for ages 12-13, and $11 for older adults and military personnel.
