Chris Patullo Takes Charge as Director of Operations at American Crystal

Chris Patullo has stepped into an expanded role as the Director of Operations at the American Crystal Sugar Company, a prominent grower-owned cooperative and the largest beet sugar producer in the United States. His new responsibilities encompass overseeing production and maintenance operations at the company’s facilities located in Moorhead, Hillsboro, Crookston, East Grand Forks, and Drayton.

In this role, Patullo will ensure the safe and efficient production of high-quality sugar and agricultural products. He will also focus on maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. His leadership is expected to drive strategic initiatives aimed at process improvements and the execution of capital projects that enhance operational performance and promote long-term growth.

Patullo holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. With over 22 years of experience at American Crystal, he has previously held several key positions, including Factory Manager at the Crookston, Hillsboro, and Drayton facilities. His career with the company began in 2003, during which he also served as Production Superintendent, Process Engineer, and Factory Engineer.
