Robert G. “Bob” Johnson, aged 82, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Little Canada. He is remembered by his family and friends for his dedication to both community service and family life. Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Johnson, and their three sons, Todd (Beth), Troy (Lonnie), and Derek (Tracy). His legacy continues through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Aaron, Abby, Jack, Bria, Bailey, Kennedy, Cullen, Marley, and Maverick.
Growing up on the East Side of St. Paul, Bob developed a passion for hockey, which he continued to nurture throughout his life. He played for Johnson High School, showcasing his talent on the ice. After completing his education, he embarked on a career in the printing industry, where he would spend decades contributing to his field.
In addition to his professional work, Bob was deeply committed to serving his community. For over 20 years, he volunteered with the Little Canada Fire Department, holding various positions that allowed him to give back to the community he loved. His selflessness and dedication to service made a significant impact on many lives.
Bob’s love for hockey extended beyond his own playing days. He cherished watching his children and grandchildren participate in the sport, sharing countless memorable moments on the rink. In his downtime, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, where he relished the company of family and friends.
A celebration of Bob’s life will take place at the Little Canada Fire Department on December 27, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00. A short program is scheduled to begin at 15:30, providing an opportunity for loved ones to honor his memory and share stories of his life.
Bob Johnson leaves behind a rich legacy of love, family, and community service, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
