Community Mourns the Loss of Ty Birdwell, 1972-2025

Ty Birdwell, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on November 19, 2025, at his home in Chehalis, Washington, where he had lived for the past 25 years. Born in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, Ty grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Port Angeles High School. His life was marked by a fervent passion for motocross racing, where he traveled across the country to compete shortly after completing his education.

Following his successful stint in motocross, Ty transitioned to land development, where he showcased remarkable skill and vision for transforming properties. His professional endeavors were impressive, but it was his role as a father that truly defined him. He was a devoted dad to his son, Racyn Birdwell, whom he cherished deeply. Ty shared his life and family with his partner, Holly Weitz Birdwell.

Beyond his professional and family life, Ty was an enthusiastic outdoorsman. He enjoyed various activities, including fishing, hunting, and razor clam digging, often embracing the beauty of nature through camping trips. Known for his sense of humor, he loved to engage with family and friends through games, laughter, and cooking.

Ty Birdwell is remembered as a wonderful father, brother, son, uncle, and friend to many. His passing has left a profound impact on those who knew him. His faith in the Lord Jesus brings solace to his family, who take comfort in believing they will reunite in Heaven.

He is survived by his son, Racyn; his mother, Ruth Birdwell; his sister, Staci Barcott, and brother-in-law, Jeff Barcott; his brother, Keith Birdwell, and sister-in-law, Lorinne Birdwell; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ty was preceded in death by his father, Ray Birdwell, and his sister, Jill Birdwell.

Celebration of Life Scheduled for February

The community is invited to a Celebration of Life in honor of Ty Birdwell, which will take place on February 14, 2026, at Jesters Car Museum in Chehalis, Washington, starting at 14:00. This event aims to bring together friends and family to share memories and celebrate the life of a man who touched the hearts of many. As those who knew him gather to remember his legacy, they will reflect on the joy he brought into their lives and the love he shared with his family.
