The family of Clare J. Turoff has announced her sudden passing on July 12, 2026, at the age of 76. Clare leaves behind her cherished son, Michael Turoff, alongside her sisters, Mary, Kristie, and Stephanie Richey, as well as several nephews, including Christopher, Jackson, Phillip, Sam, Stephen, and Will. She was predeceased by her father, Christopher G. Turoff.
Clare was born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1946 and spent her formative years in Marin County, California. She graduated from San Rafael High School, followed by further education at the College of Marin and Chabot College in Hayward, where she obtained a degree in Dental Hygiene.
Her professional career spanned nearly five decades, during which she worked at various dental offices located at 1131 Mission Rd. in South San Francisco. Clare dedicated herself to her profession from 1973 until 2020, providing care to countless patients over the years.
After retiring, Clare maintained an active lifestyle. She cherished spending time with friends, enjoyed walking in Ross, and participated in Adult Extension classes at the College of Marin.
In accordance with Clare’s wishes, there will be no formal service held. The family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider planting a living memorial or sending flowers in her name.
Clare J. Turoff’s legacy will live on through the many lives she touched throughout her career and personal life.
