Ann Martin Schueler, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025. She was born on April 2, 1937, to Isabel Rojo and John Gomez Martin in Winters, California. As the youngest of six children, Ann grew up in a loving farming family, where she developed deep roots in her community.
Her marriage to William Schueler (commonly known as Bill) was a testament to enduring love. Together, they nurtured a family that extended beyond their own children. Ann is survived by her children, Ronald M. Snodgrass (Colleen) and Nancy Vogt (George), along with grandchildren Lindsay Sabotka (Brad) and Olivia Henry (André Slaughter). Her great-grandson, Luca Slaughter, along with her sister-in-law, Charlene Martin, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and stepchildren, also carry her legacy forward.
Celebration of Life Planned
Ann’s family has planned a Catholic Mass to honor her memory on January 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church in Winters. Following the service, a celebration of her life will take place at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall. The family invites all who knew Ann to join them for a luncheon after the service, with an RSVP appreciated at [email protected].
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her husband, Bill, as well as her brothers, Chris, who passed away at two months old, Tony (Claudean), Fred, John (Pat), and Joe. She was also a loving daughter-in-law to Naomi Mincer and William Schueler, and had a special bond with sister-in-law Betty Jane and brother-in-law Don Schueler (Alice).
In reflecting on her life, the family acknowledges the profound impact Ann had on those around her. She leaves behind a legacy marked by love, kindness, and the strength of family ties.
