His family fondly remembers him as a devoted husband and an engaged father and grandfather, who always encouraged and supported them.

A Lifelong Commitment to Family and Community

Ronald Penner’s life was marked by both his professional endeavors and his deep commitment to family and faith. He graduated from Chico High School and furthered his education at Western Baptist Bible College in Oakland, California. His career included various roles at Caterpillar Tractor Company in the state, where he worked at the parts counter and in customer service before moving into data processing.

In the early 1970s, Ronald became part of Penner Apiaries in Red Bluff, where he continued to work until his retirement. Despite his professional achievements, those close to him emphasize that Ronald’s true legacy lies in the relationships he nurtured throughout his life.

Ronald was known for his kindness, patience, and unwavering sense of humor. He had a gift for storytelling and often delighted his family with good-natured teasing and endearing nicknames. His daughters recall fond memories of him inviting grandchildren to spend time with him, whether meandering through the countryside or reading books together.

A Life of Service and Faith

Beyond his family life, Ronald was actively involved in his local church, where he served in various capacities and participated in mission trips. Alongside June, he hosted home Bible studies and gatherings that fostered community and fellowship. His dedication to faith extended to his participation in Bible Study Fellowship, both as a participant and a leader.

Ronald’s family emphasized that he was more than just a father and a husband; he was a pillar of support and encouragement. His ability to remain calm and positive in difficult situations inspired those around him. He will be remembered as someone who truly valued family and designed his life around nurturing those relationships.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Ronald L. Penner is scheduled for December 6, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the First Church of God in Red Bluff.
