Antonino “Tony” Morici, Sr. Passes Away at 78, Leaving a Legacy

BREAKING: Antonino “Tony” Morici, Sr., beloved community figure and restaurateur, has passed away at the age of 78 on December 10, 2025, at his home in Palmer Township, PA. He was surrounded by family at the time of his death, marking the end of a life dedicated to family, faith, and culinary excellence.

Born on August 23, 1947, in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Tony was the son of the late Francesco and Annunziata Morici. He became a well-known figure as the proprietor of Morici’s Restaurant on College Hill in Easton, where he delighted patrons with his authentic Italian dishes and homemade wine, creating cherished memories for many.

Tony’s deep commitment to his Catholic faith was apparent through his active involvement at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and The Holy Cross Society. He was known not just for his cooking, but for the love he shared with his family—his wife of 54 years, Maria (Galati) Morici, and their three sons, Frank, Santo, and Anthony “Nino” Morici, Jr.

His legacy continues through his children and grandchildren: Nino, Sammy, Dominic, Natalie, Santino, Madelyn, Gianna, Luciano, and Colton, all of whom he cherished deeply. The family is heartbroken but grateful for the time they shared with him.

Calling hours for Tony will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA. An additional calling hour is scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, 520 Cedarville Road, Easton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Tony’s name to the Saint Padre Pio Shrine at 111 Barto Road, Barto, PA 19504.
