UPDATE: Bagaduce Music has just announced an exhilarating new Second Wednesday House Concert Series, set to kick off on January 14, 2026, featuring the beloved Gawler Family Band. This innovative monthly music series promises to energize midweek routines with a vibrant mix of community celebration and live music.
Located at 49 South St., Blue Hill, the concert series aims to make high-quality music accessible and affordable. Attendees can expect lower ticket prices than Bagaduce’s weekend events, with a suggested donation of $15 to $30 at the door. The first concert will start at 7:30 p.m., after a lively pre-show jam session from 5–6 p.m., open to all music lovers.
The Gawler Family Band, known for their joyful tunes and engaging performances, features master fiddlers John and Ellen Gawler alongside their talented daughters Molly, Edith, and Elsie. Together with musicians Bennett Konesni and Ethan Tischler, they create an enchanting blend of fiddle, banjo, guitar, and cello, bringing the rich musical traditions of Maine to life.
Each concert will be more than just a musical experience. From 6–7:30 p.m., guests can enjoy delicious food from Conscious Café while mingling with fellow attendees, setting the stage for a night filled with music and community spirit. The Gawlers’ repertoire includes everything from lively Downeast dance tunes to heartfelt ballads, all interwoven with captivating stories that resonate with audiences.
This initiative is not just about music; it’s about fostering community connections in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Music enthusiasts are encouraged to mark their calendars and make the Second Wednesday series their new monthly highlight.
