Breaking: 15-Year-Old Arrested in Grand Forks Gas Station Robbery

UPDATE: A 15-year-old boy from Fargo has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place early Saturday morning at Dale’s Interstate Standard gas station in Grand Forks. Law enforcement officials apprehended the suspect at an East Grand Forks motel following a 36-hour investigation that began with the shocking robbery.

The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Saturday when the suspect allegedly pointed a small caliber pistol at the gas station attendant, demanding cash. After stealing approximately $390, he ordered the attendant to lie on the floor before fleeing the scene. Authorities confirm that neither the stolen money nor the weapon has been recovered as of Monday afternoon.

Grand Forks Police, with assistance from East Grand Forks Police and Polk County authorities, took the youth into custody on Sunday afternoon. He has been held at Polk County Jail in Crookston, Minnesota, where he is considered the prime suspect in the ongoing investigation.
