BREAKING: Charlotte M. Seim, a cherished resident of Guilderland, NY, and the wife of the late William R. Seim, has passed away at the age of 89. She died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and community spirit.
Born on February 26, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of Clyde and Jennie (Travis) Woodard. She enjoyed a long career with Travelers Insurance Company, where she not only built a professional life but also met her husband, William. Charlotte was known for her vibrant personality and her deep commitment to her family and friends.
Charlotte’s family was her life. She is survived by her children: Donna (Ronald) Healt, William (Debra) Eggleston III, Richard (Cheryl) Eggleston, Michael (Rose) Eggleston, and Guy (Susan Jacobson) Eggleston. Additionally, she leaves behind eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
A beloved figure in the Baptist community, Charlotte was recognized for her infectious sense of humor and her dedication to engaging with others. She frequently walked through the halls of her community, visiting fellow residents and participating in various crafts and activities, enriching the lives of those around her.
In a heartfelt tribute, the family extends their gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health and Community Hospice, particularly Brittany and her team, for their exceptional care and support during Charlotte’s final days.

Visitation for Charlotte will occur on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., following a gathering at the funeral home starting at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland, NY.
Charlotte’s passing marks a significant loss for her family and the community she served so lovingly. Her spirit and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
