UPDATE: Gerald “Jerry” Krueger, aged 83, has passed away in Winona, MN, on November 15, 2025, following a brief illness. His death is a significant loss to family, friends, and the community, as he was deeply involved in local church ministries and charitable organizations.

Born on October 23, 1942, Jerry grew up in Keewatin, Minnesota, where he graduated from Keewatin High School in 1960. He later earned a Business degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1965. That same year, Jerry married Sandy (Swanstrom) Myers and welcomed two daughters. After their divorce, he married Cathy (Crockett) Suit, with whom he had two more daughters, before their separation as well.

Jerry dedicated over 40 years to the JCPenney Company, where he climbed the ranks in management across the Midwest. His career reached its peak when he worked at the corporate headquarters in Plano, TX, before his final position managing a store in Sioux Falls, SD, from which he retired early.

After retiring, Jerry embarked on a spiritual journey, becoming an active member of his church. He dedicated his time to mentoring others, supporting outreach initiatives, and leading church building expansions. His commitment extended beyond the church, as he volunteered with organizations like the United Way, the Small Business Association, the Answer Center, and The Gideons, while also supporting the University of Sioux Falls Business Department.

Later in life, Jerry moved to Winona to be closer to two of his daughters and their families. He cherished moments spent with his 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, particularly enjoying watching them play sports.

Jerry is remembered for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Arthur Koski; sisters Larolyn Radell and Annette Krznarich; and brother Arnold “Nails” Krueger. He is survived by daughters Kerrie Maynard, Dawn (Phil) Appicelli, Courtney (Joey) Rangel, and Ashley (Mason) Rebarchek; sister Charlene (David Gunelson); and numerous nieces and nephews.

As the community mourns this profound loss, plans for memorial services and tributes are likely to follow. Jerry’s legacy of service and love will be remembered by all who knew him.
