This sudden loss resonates deeply with those who knew him. Warren, a dedicated family man and public servant, was not only a devoted husband to his wife of 66 years, Dawn Warren, but also a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family described him as their pillar of strength, and his absence will be felt profoundly.
Born on July 9, 1938, in Camden, NJ, Warren was a graduate of Morristown High School class of 1957. He served honorably in the Army National Guard for eight years, demonstrating a commitment to his country that mirrored his dedication to his community.
Warren made substantial contributions to public service, working at Bell Telephone Laboratories as a Computer Supervisor and later at GTE Data Services as a Manager. However, he was best known for his role as a firefighter in Johnstown for 18 years, where he exhibited bravery and a passion for helping others.
In 1971, he founded the Johnstown Area Volunteer Ambulance Corp (JAVAC), a testament to his lifelong commitment to community service. His passion for music and theater shone through his active participation in local shows with the Colonial Little Theater and The Galway Players, among others.
