UPDATE: The annual Holiday Donation Drive in Wake Forest is officially underway, aiming to exceed last year’s impressive total of $7,000. This urgent initiative, spearheaded by the local government, is designed to tackle immediate community needs, including hunger and youth program support. Residents and businesses are called to action to contribute through the official website or by mail.
The drive, which will be open until December 31, allows donors to support several essential programs, including HOPE, which aids residents in paying for electricity, and the Northern Community Food Security Team, dedicated to alleviating food scarcity. Other beneficiaries include Shop with a Cop, the Wake Forest Firefighters Foundation, and scholarship programs for both the Wake Forest Center for Active Aging and Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources.
“One hundred percent of all contributions will be directed to the designated organization(s)/initiative(s),” officials emphasize on the Town of Wake Forest’s official website. This transparency assures donors that their contributions will have a direct impact on the community.
For those opting to donate via check, payments can be mailed to 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587. Donors must include “WF Cares” in the memo line to ensure funds are allocated correctly.
The donation process is flexible; contributors can support multiple initiatives. For instance, a $50 donation split between two programs would provide $25 to each, allowing residents to maximize their impact across various community efforts.
As the drive progresses, organizers are emphasizing the need for broad participation. Community members are encouraged to rally together to help those in need during this season of giving.
With the clock ticking toward the end of the year, every contribution counts. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference in Wake Forest—join the effort now and help spread the word!
